Wedding Highlights: The People

If you've planned a wedding, you get it. You want everything to be perfect. You've overthought everything from the food, to the flowers, and meanwhile you've tried to enjoy every moment of the experience. But if you've planned a wedding, you know what I'm talking about when I say that the closer you get to the actual wedding, the less and less anything matters. What it really comes down to is the fact that you're marrying the man you love, and all the most important people in your life are there to celebrate the happiest day of your life with you.

The people, you get it.

Casey and I are lucky enough to each have amazing, supportive families, and the coolest group of friends anyone could ask for. I speak for both of us when I say we're so grateful for the love and support we felt throughout the whole wedding experience, from start to finish.

From the moment we came out of the temple, I was surrounded by my team of super-bridesmaids, making sure every hair on my head was perfect. It lasted maybe an hour before I just gave it up and let my hair go wild.







I know this fake laughing picture is bad, but it's seriously the most hilarious picture to me. I can't get over it. 

Don't even get me started on my nieces and nephews. They are so adorable, I could die.








The little monsters.

Wedding days are full of unexpected surprises. I sent few invitations to teachers who I believe greatly influenced my life, but only a couple showed up. Pictured above is me with my first grade teacher, Mrs. Brown. The first thing I did when I started planning was call my mom and ask her to help me find her. It took a lot of phone calls and searching, but finally, we were able to get an invite to her. 

When I was in her class, I would write books every single day, and draw my own illustrations. My mom says she tried to keep some, but I just kept giving them away. Mrs. Brown is special to me because she recognized who I was at such a young age. She encouraged me to always be creative, and to keep writing my whole life, and to send her a signed copy of the first book I publish. That's still a work in progress, but I've always remembered how great of teacher she was. 16 Years later, she's still inspiring me.

    these pictures are STUNNING. i love the bridesmaid colors against the fence, and your nieces and nephews---i die! GORGEOUS everything!!!
