If you've ever been to to my parents house during the holidays, you'd get it. My mom goes ALL OUT when it comes to decorating for the holidays! I remember spending a whole Saturday with all my siblings just to get one holiday up. I wouldn't trade it for anything, because it made the holidays even more amazing! I'm home in Arizona for the weekend, and while I'm here I get to help my mom with some of the decorating. I'll tell you what, with all these holiday decorations around, it feels more like home than ever!

We've been married 5 months, and we've been living in this apartment for 2, but I still don't feel like it's totally put together. I don't think I will until I've got some life in here! And to clarify, by life I mean plants and art, not a baby. But even though the place might still be a little rough, I wanted to make it feel 'home-y' by decorating for the Holidays! 

I saw this fall leaf garland tutorial on Pinterest. It looked easy enough, and with all the Utah leaves in absolute prime color condition, it seemed like an obvious choice. And it was so so so super easy! Why do I call it the 'Floating Fall Garland'? Because the leaves look like they're floating! It's actually so cool. And cheap. I love bringing the outside beauty into our home. That must be why I have a giant bag of pinecones and sticks sitting in my closet, waiting to be made into something beautiful! Anyway, if you find yourself in need of a little fall spirit in the home, this is definitely an easy easy way to go.

1. Collect leaves

2. Spray leaves with Clear Acrylic Sealer (Walmart)

3. Take a needle & thread, and string them together!

tip: Make sure you spray both sides of the leaf with the acrylic sealer. It keeps them from curling up!
