Little Cottonwood

It's getting harder to be apart from Casey for too long. I went home for just 5 days and I think I almost died. One of our favorite things to do together is to go to the mountains. So when I got back I said to him, "Casey, take me somewhere beautiful!" I was dying to see the mountains before they were completely covered in snow. So he took me on this little hike up Little Cottonwood Canyon.

We got to this little lake that had been mostly dried up. It's pretty much all dead, and might be mistaken for a giant mud hole. But there was some really beautiful about it. Especially the river that ran through it. We went down and walked around the ice, mud, and I felt like a little kid exploring.

Everybody knows I'm not the hugest fan of the cold and the snow. But it's little adventures like this that remind me how beautiful this earth is. It's also a plus that Casey doesn't love the cold either, so at least we've got that going for us.

  1. I LOVE LITTLE COTTONWOOD! In fact, I think I have a picture standing on that exact same rock you are standing on. Have you ever been up to the rock quarry?
