WEEKDAY STUFF

We've been married for almost a year and we still don't feel settled. And I hate that! But I guess it comes with the turf. I've been freelancing, and have had some other consistent jobs here and there, but it seems as if we still haven't fallen into a consistent pattern yet. It makes sense though. I graduated, got married, and moved to a new place all at once, and I guess I'm just still finding myself, whatever that means. I'm also still trying to figure out how to wear pants and feel like an adult. That sounds weird, and it is weird. Anyway here's a little of what's been going on.

I've tried to make more art, to be more expressive. I've tried to take more time to make beautiful things. Lately, that's been stupid little watercolor painting with some supplies I bought at Walmart. But thing about Art is that it's subjective. So you may think it's not beautiful or whatever, but I think expression is beautiful. And that's the point.

We went to Hawaii and it was amazing. It was a relatively inexpensive trip since we found really cheap flights and stayed with a friend. He both needed a little vacation, and escaping to the warm beaches of Hawaii did the trick!

Because of how busy I've been with work and life, I've been baking a lot less, which really stinks. But one time we made pizza and I accidentally made way too much dough. It was a totally insane mess and landed us with a lot of extra dough! (The baking kind not the money kind unfortunately)

Every once in a while we'll find a little time to run off somewhere. We had a picnic at the Capitol a few weeks ago and it was so nice to just relax in the sun and enjoy some time together! We've been watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix, so it was good to take a break from the screens. Casey's little sister Kara got married last weekend too. It was such a perfect wedding, and a perfect reflection of the beautiful bride!

I know this is just a quick update but I have a lot to do so see ya!

  2. I feel the exact same way. We're living at my parents right now...nothing wrong with it but, talk about a lack of consistency! I guess someday we'll both figure out how to wear pants. Right?

Also, you are talented. Colby and I saw some of your Instagram posts of your art and talked about how we should have you do more wallets for us.
