Human Catalysts

I told you last time that some people the absolute worst and you shouldn't care what they think. However, there are some other people, who I like to call Human Catalysts, who are the best people in the world, and you should hold on tight to them and never let them go.

Here's something I wrote in my Moleskine last year when I was getting ready to graduate. I was going through a bunch of stuff, you know, the struggle, it's real. And I was sitting in class one day overwhelmed by anger, actually, which made me think of a really good friend of mine who had sort of been my person. Which is cool. And I couldn't have done it without them. Anyway, here's what came of it.

"People are catalysts.
Sometimes all you need in order to achieve something, go for your dream, to believe in yourself is someone to say
"yes."
"it's good."
"I like it!"
"go for it!"
"I believe in you."
Human Catalysts.
People who encourage, support, and help something amazing happen by just being there. Just being themselves. We need more people like this in the world.
They are not enablers. They are not radical, and aren't simply telling you what you want to hear.
They are honest. They are genuine. They have no other motives than to be a truly decent human being, and to let their decency reflect into someone else. To let someone be affected in a good way.
Catalysts.
Humans.
Where would we be without them?" 1. 15. 14
