Casey isn't huge on celebrating his own birthday, so we kept it simple. I woke him up with a kiss and an invitation to the gym, followed by some birthday bagels! When we got home, it was present time.
When it came to gift choices, I basically spent some hours stalking LeBron, and just bought Casey whatever kind of stuff he was wearing! Needless to say, he was happy. And so was I. I love giving gifts. I love wrapping them too! It's pretty therapeutic for me actually.
Because I'm such a good wife, I totally SPACED making a birthday cake. We spent the day at home just chillin and watching House on Netflix, naturally, and I totally fell asleep for like 2 hours. Wife of the year right?
I tried to make up for it by making a cake the next night. What started as a noble quest turned out to be almost a complete failure. I'm talking cake batter ALL over the bottom of the oven. Disaster. It was kind of hilarious. By the time I salvaged as much as I could, there was only the tiny center of the cake left. Hey, just enough for two!
It turned out to be one of those situations where I cared way more that I didn't meet my own expectations, than he did. I just wanted to make the day special for him by doing special things. But what made it special was just being together!
Honestly, he's my favorite person to be with. I could hang out with him all day long and not get sick of it. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing person in my life, and I don't know who I'd be without him. Here's to my eternal homie!

So small world, my husband says he knows you somehow...don't know how, but he does!
